The Results
TCG and KSDP were in constant communication throughout the program to ensure complete awareness regarding each incumbent and opponents’ campaign activities. Specifically during the last two weeks of the election season, TCG and KSDP communicated many times daily and were prepared to launch the automated campaigns as needed or to adjust messages based on unexpected events. The key to the success of this program was being ready and having a plan in place well in advance of the oppositions’ negative campaign efforts.
Once KSDP decided to launch a particular automated message to a district, TCG activated the response mechanism calls in a matter of minutes to assure and maximize the timeliness and the effectiveness of the recorded message. In fact, TCG delivered messages to 61,000 targeted households in the selected districts that needed it.
Ten of the thirteen Democrat candidates won their elections.
