Florida Voter Hotline

Grassroots Campaigns for The Florida Voter Hotline

The Solution

Although Election Day results did not favor our candidate, we take solace in the fact that turnout in Florida was over 4% higher in 2004 than in 2000.  A record number of Floridians opted to Vote by Mail and early vote, and far fewer voters were turned away from polling sites.  While “the Florida Voter Hotline” cannot take all the credit for these results, it is safe to say the numbers would not have been as favorable without our contributions.  By utilizing the best of inbound technology to provide information, restore confidence in the voting system, and coordinate support where needed, “The Florida Voter Hotline” acted as a centerpiece to the Democratic Party’s voter contact and mobilization program.  More importantly, the inbound line brought about greater public awareness of the electoral process, a positive result with a limitless yield for years to come.
